At the beginning of May 2014, Customs and Border Protection (CBP) released a new version of its I-94 Retrieval website. This new version allows nonimmigrants to view their arrival and departure history for the last five years. Previously, you could only obtain information on the most recent entry into the United States. The electronic Form I-94 retrieval system was introduced by CBP in March 2013 when it stopped issuing the paper Form I-94 Arrival/Departure Record. Upon arrival in the US, the traveler is to go to the CBP website and print out a paper copy of the I-94 record and should carry the most recent I-94 with the traveler's passport. At times, a traveler may need to obtain information about prior admissions, which are now available on the CBP website.  Before this new website, nonimmigrants who needed documentation of their arrivals and departures had to file a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request to obtain this documentation. It could take up to a year to get a response to the FOIA request. The new I-94 Retrieval website is a big improvement. You can find the website at http://i94.cbp.dhs.gov
